ENTENT is an innovative company that developed PULSE, a patented technology for generating electricity from waste heat. It converts low-temperature heat between 60°C and 150°C into useful electricity, supporting a circular economy and industrial decarbonisation. Applications include power generation, industrial sites and data centres.
Founded in 2018 by Mathias Fonlupt and Stéfan Ré, the company is now led by Mathias Fonlupt and Clément Schambel. Its innovation has received several awards, including Bpifrance’s i-Lab and i-Nov distinctions and the Aix-Marseille metropolitan area’s Young Innovative Entrepreneur award.
PULSE: from low-temperature heat to electricity
PULSE converts low-temperature heat between 60°C and 150°C into usable electricity. It operates as a closed-loop Rankine Cycle or Organic Rankine Cycle system. An organic fluid is heated and vaporised by the heat source; the stored energy then drives an expander and generator. Remaining heat is rejected through a condenser before the liquid is pressurised and returned to the evaporator.
